Petroleum Service Corporation is seeking an essential Chemical Plant Packaging Operator to work in a world-leading petrochemical plant! The following contingencies must be satisfied:

• satisfactory completion of a background check, drug and alcohol screen, physical, OSHA/Safety Council training card, and a valid unexpired driver's license
• Proof of identity and authorization to work in the U.S. as required by the immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986

Work Schedule: 10-12 hr. night shift

Pay Range: $16.89 / hr. - $20.00 / hr.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receives incoming shipments of plastic pellets from hopper railcars
• Connects hoses to the hopper railcars to offload the plastic pellets 
• Sets up the automated packaging machine by hooking up attachments to containers
• Sets up the automated conveyor system to feed all finished containers to the warehouse
• Obtains samples during the packaging process and examines for any contamination
• Utilizes the SAP computer system to create labels, print and apply them to finished containers

Job Qualifications:

• Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious at all times
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Stable work history with good references from past employers
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Speak fluent English
• PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
You must be able to:

• Speak, write, read, hear, and have good vision
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
• Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
• Lift 60 pounds floor to waist
• Push and pull 30 pounds horizontally
• Carry 20 pounds while walking
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Stand 8-12 hours per day
• Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
