Petroleum Service Corporation is continuing to grow and is now hiring a full-time Procurement and Billing Administrative Assistant at our corporate office in Pasadena, TX. If you have a knack for the details, are organized and a team player, you would be great fit for this administrative position. You will play a vital role in supporting our Railcar Repair Operations leadership team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Establishes effective working relations with vendors to determine industry capabilities, potential vendors, market conditions and other information for preparing requests for bids or proposals
  • Creates and manages requisitions from start to finish
  • Responsible for all site purchases, making sure sites receive items in a timely manner
  • Provides basic guidance to sites and vendors on the procurement process; and resolves vendor / site complaints
  • Reviews requests for purchasing approval; and develops and implements policies to govern the procurement of commodities / services in assigned areas to improve purchasing efficiency and achieve policy goals
  • Initiates and processes requests for quotations / proposals for department purchases, researching, evaluating and making appropriate selection of commodity or service
  • Communicates with suppliers to resolve transactional issues
  • Resolves invoice pricing and terms discrepancies to enable order processing
  • Tracks and reconciles railcar repair billing, documents, and invoicing
  • Keys in BRC’s (Billing Repair Cards) for specific railcar repairs
  • Submits BRC’s through electronic approval process
  • Perform quality checks on billing and BRC’s for accuracy
  • Assists with accounts receivable issues related to railcar repair billing
  • Track, monitor, and reconcile consignment inventory
Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of purchasing / procurement experience in the railcar repair industry
  • Experience with Oracle purchasing
Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Speak fluent English
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
