PSC Group is seeking a Dock Operator to join our team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and outdoors around the waterways. The Dock Operator serves as the person-in-charge of the dock and assists the Tankerman with the safe transfer of oil products and chemicals to and from barges and/or ships. Work Schedule: This position will be dedicated to a facility working a rotating 12-hour shift schedule
Pay Range: Starting at $20 an hour
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Meets with the person-in-charge of the vessel and communicates with facility personnel
- Maintains detailed dock logs to ensure all events are recorded in chronological order
- Operates crane, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical equipment, and manual / motor operated valves
- Understands the facility piping layout to transfer the proper product
- Gauges barge and retrieves sample of product from vessel
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and a valid TWIC card
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
