Packaging Operator
Primary Responsibilities: Operate packaging machine while ensuring quality and safe production.

Reporting to: Shift Supervisor, SGS PSC |

- Operates bulk loading station with all associated equipment
- Feeds packaging materials and consumables to bulk loading station
- Operates bagging lines with all associated equipment
- Feeds packaging materials and consumables to bagging lines
- Checks machine parameter settings
- Checks printer settings
- Ensures execution of all operations with minimal product loss
- Ensures cleanliness of work space
- Reworks weight rejected material
- Handles metal rejected material
- Cleans machines after the process and collects scrap
- Monitors and reports operational activities
- Carries out daily basic maintenance duties as per checklist
- Operates forklift truck as per requirement
Skills/Qualifications: Must have the ability to speak, write, read, hear and have good vision. Must be able to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold. The physical requirements for a material handler include the following: Lift 60 pounds floor to waist, push and pull 30 pounds horizontally, carry 20 pounds while walking, climb stairs, stand 8-12 hours per day, climb ladders, extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting.
Minimum Job Requirements: 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.; stable work history with good references from past employers; pass a drug screen, physical, and background check; and speak fluent English.
