Primary Responsibilities: Lead process improvement analyses and initiatives in some of our more complex operating environments. This can include setting up systems to measure and determine causes of deviations from intended processes (delays, excessive waste material, etc). Most importantly, develop data driven solutions which can be field tested and adjusted for the improvement of the operation.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop a plan to break down a process-related operational issue into pieces which can be measured
  • Perform field interviews with operators, supervisors and customers to help dissect the problem and focus attention
  • Develop easy-to-use forms and tracking systems to measure performance, yet have a clear vision for how data will be analysed and tracked to communicate the issue
  • Have a strong understanding of where to focus attention – which areas yield the biggest performance improvements and which should be tabled
  • Communicate results of analysis and recommendations to a wide range of people – from field operators to PSC leadership to customer management
  • Quantify impact of improvements – productivity, financial savings, product recapture, etc
  • Monitor implementation of improvements and continuously make improvements

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree is preferred, not required
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in an operational leadership role and/or process improvement leadership role
  • Has experience in complex problem solving involving people, systems and physical infrastructure
  • High degree of people skills to differentiate between process oriented problem solving versus people oriented problem solving
  • Be adept at working effectively with a wide range of people / backgrounds
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and / or other database tracking systems
  • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills with experience in presenting complicated results in a manner that is easy to understand
  • Strong writing skills
  • Must be available for travel 30-50% of time

Minimum Job Requirements: 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.; stable work history with good references from past employers; pass a drug screen, physical, and background check; and speak fluent English.
