Petroleum Service Corporation is seeking a Railcar Repair Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager to lead the organization in implementing and maintaining a robust Quality Assurance Program (QAP) that meets or exceeds regulatory, customer and industry expectations.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Full-time)

Location: Based out of our corporate business office in Baton Rouge, LA with travel included to our in - plant operations in LA and TX.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitors, measures and analyzes the QAP processes and implementing actions necessary to achieve planned results
  • Monitors customer satisfaction to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Improves the QAP using innovative work practices
  • Ensures continual compliance with MSRP section J and MSRP section C-III, as applicable
  • Performs routine oversight of processes to ensure that railcars repaired continue to conform to their approved design specification and quality requirements
  • Reviews AAR Circular Letters, Maintenance Advisories and Early Warning Letters, if applicable have systems to communicate with all affected employees
  • Ensures that AAR Circular letters are maintained until the next revision of the manual is published
  • Understands and navigates sites for M1002 & M1003 compliance
  • Assists in contract review to ensure PSC has the ability to meet all QAP contract requirements
  • Develops and maintains procedures for performing, verifying and reporting service conforms to quality requirements, if applicable
  • Facilitates customer, AAR and FRA compliance audits
  • Maintains general communication with all staff regarding QAP matters
  • Serves as appropriate level NDE resource
  • Controls master documentation index and updates
  • Assists site leadership on welding testing and training programs
  • Ensures inventory control and approved suppliers used
  • Drives continued and updated compliance throughout PSC on industry and regulatory changes, and upcoming changes
  • Supervises Quality Assurance Coordinators
  • Acts independently of operations / production and is responsible for providing information / advice to senior management on matters relating to safe and quality operations
  • Assists and / or applies for facility registrations
  • Participates in tank car committee meetings, if applicable
Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • 10 years relevant repair and quality assurance work experience in the rail / railroad repair industry or in rail repair chemical plant operations
  • Sound knowledge of safety management principles and practices
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations and practices (FRA, DOT, AAR, ANSI, etc.)
  • Ability to build trust and have strong verbal and written communication with all levels, both inside and outside the organization
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to be adaptable and work independently with a high degree of integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid TWIC card and driver's license
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Speak fluent English
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
